In a school-wide fundraiser for animals in shelters, we collected the following items:
15 kilograms of Pedigree
24 Blankets
3 Plush Toys
4 Pillows
The goods have been donated to People for Animals, Hyderabad ABC Centre. The expected combined net worth of these items is 8000 INR(approximately 100 USD). While our donation might not be the heftiest, we do believe it will make an impact. The dogs will have to sustain the not-so-harsh winters of Southern India(but hey, it does get cold out there!), and we hope our blankets will come in handy. In addition to the school event, we also organized a charity football game(in which the author of this post got thrashed 8-2, missed two easy saves as a keeper, and ran around the field with 0 possession) where some people outside the school got a chance to donate. Although our fundraiser hasn't reached our expectations, we have a 3-month break for Summer 2024, during which we hope to come back bigger, better, and more impactful!
We sincerely thank all the donors for trusting us with their money, but as we enter 2024, a gentle reminder: when we say the world is ours, it is important to properly define and understand the word "ours". "Ours" includes the people not lucky enough to afford the medium to read this article. "Ours" includes the billions of animal souls in this world. "Ours" includes the flora of this world.
